               Cesium iodide (CsI), which has excellent
               sensitivity characteristics in the long
               wavelength region, is employed as the   inspeXio        16-bit = 65,536 shades of gray

               the X-ray output, it offers signi cantly
               improved contrast when scanning
               low-density materials that easily transmit
               X-rays.
